What is a bishop?

Since no-one else has done it, looks like it's down to me.

A bishop has pastoral care and oversight roles.
So that rules out the President and Connexional Secretary.

A bishop shows leadership and manages.
But a District Chair is subject to Synod.

A bishop is a figure in the community and nationally.
So is not a Superintendent.

Looks like we have no-one who fits the bill.

We'll have to do without for the time being. Unless the Holy Spirit can show us what we're missing.

There's also that thing about the episcopal line, hands and validity of orders.

Indeed there is.
